 | Thursday, May 11th, 1967: San Francisco Wins, Blanks Hilltoppers Luis Tiant of the San Francisco Spiders was in command from start to finish in his 6-0 shutout win over the Atlanta Hilltoppers. He struck out 8, walked 4 and allowed 3 hits. "I felt strong the entire game," Tiant said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working." This season Tiant has compiled a 4-5 record with a 4.88 ERA in 10 starts. |
