Sunday, April 2nd, 1967: Boston Hopeless Against Hughes
In an almost effortless performance, Dick Hughes of the Monuments shot down the Federals 3-0 on a 2-hit shutout.

His skipper said, "Dick was just locating so well and using his pitches...not leaving anything over the plate."

Hughes recorded 8 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.

In the postgame press conference, the Boston manager said, "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game like he can and we couldn't get a key hit off him."
