Friday, September 30th, 1966: 200 Wins for Friend
Bob Friend of the Cleveland Barons pitched his way into the exclusive 200-win club today at Cleveland Municipal Stadium by stopping the Boston Federals 2-1. In his historic outing, he surrendered 4 hits and 1 run in 8.1 innings with 10 strikeouts and 2 walks.

With a huge grin on his face, the 34-year-old Friend told reporters after the game, "Now I got to get real busy -- and start working on my next 200 wins."

During his career Friend has a 200-170 won-lost record with a 4.11 ERA.
