 | Detroit Griffins Capture UL World Series Saturday, October 11th, 1975: The 1975 United League season came to a close today at Kiner Field (1965), where the Detroit Griffins whipped the Manhattan Gray Sox 6-0 and won their 1st UL World Series in history. Detroit got there by compiling a 92-64 mark during regular season play and claiming the second spot in the East Division standings. The Griffins won the series 4-3 in games. |   |
