| Breaking News |  | Thursday, October 9th, 1969: Perry of Atlanta Injured in Off-Field Incident
An unlucky off-the-field mishap will put Jim Perry of the Atlanta Hilltoppers on the shelf for the next one week. He sustained the injury while getting hit with a golf ball and suffered a bruised jaw.
So far in Perry's career, the 33-year-old starter has won 130 and lost 77, collecting 968 strikeouts with a 3.53 ERA. Opponents have hit .329 against him. |
