| Breaking News |  | Sunday, October 1st, 1967: Howser Crowned UL Bat King 1967 was a fine season for Washington second baseman Dick Howser and it was capped off today when it became official that he had won the United League batting title with an impressive .378 mark.
In 140 games he piled up 209 hits, 30 doubles, 2 triples, 1 home run, 38 RBIs and 113 runs scored. |  | Sunday, September 17th, 1967: Washington Third Baseman Injured Medical officials from the Washington Monuments reported that the club's 27-year-old third baseman, Ron Santo, suffered a strained rib cage muscle in yesterday's matchup against the Chicago Colts while colliding with a player at a base. Santo is expected to miss 5 weeks of action.
