A trade between the St. Louis Maroons and the Los Angeles Outlaws was made official this morning. The St. Louis Maroons have sent 25-year old center fielder Tommie Agee and a 2nd round draft pick to the Los Angeles Outlaws in exchange for 29-year old center fielder Jimmie Hall, 36-year old reliever Chet Nichols and a 2nd round draft pick.

Saturday, September 30th, 1967: Colts Shut Out Maroons
The St. Louis Maroons were almost helpless today in their 12-0 loss to Chicago hurler Bill Singer. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 5-hit shutout.

The St. Louis manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Singer. He kept us off balance all night."

Singer said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way."

He had 3 walks and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance.

Singer has posted a 20-11 record in 1967 with a 3.00 ERA. Teams are hitting .220 against him and he has rung up 208 strikeouts in 270 innings.
Wednesday, August 30th, 1967: 3-Homer Hat Trick for Stuart
Dick Stuart went on a hitting rampage at Griffith Stadium today and got membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He walloped three into the stands to pace the Monuments to a 12-1 victory over the St. Louis Maroons.

The Washington first baseman collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 6, and scored 3 runs.

After his three-home run game he said this to the press: "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too."

D. Stuart hit a three-run home run off D. Stigman in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off C. Simmons in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off D. Mossi in the 9th.

Stuart is batting at a .242 pace in 1967, picking up 120 hits in 495 at-bats with 27 home runs, 112 RBIs and 71 runs scored.
