Monday, October 2nd, 1967: Colts and Spiders Agree to Swap
The Chicago Colts have parted ways with 23-year old reliever Chris Zachary and a 1st round draft pick, sending him to the San Francisco Spiders for a 1st round draft pick. The Colts general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning.

This year Zachary has 8 relief appearances, saving 0. His record is 0-0 with 7 strikeouts in 7.1 innings and a 7.36 ERA.

Monday, September 25th, 1967: San Francisco Left Fielder Nets UL Award
It was announced today that San Francisco left fielder Lou Brock has been acclaimed by the United League as the Player of the Week for his outstanding play last week.

Brock posted a .480 batting average as he collected 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs.

This season in 137 games Brock is batting .314 with 9 home runs, 49 RBIs and has scored 97 times.
