Saturday, September 30th, 1967: Colts Shut Out Maroons
The St. Louis Maroons were almost helpless today in their 12-0 loss to Chicago hurler Bill Singer. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 5-hit shutout.

The St. Louis manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Singer. He kept us off balance all night."

Singer said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way."

He had 3 walks and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance.

Singer has posted a 20-11 record in 1967 with a 3.00 ERA. Teams are hitting .220 against him and he has rung up 208 strikeouts in 270 innings.
